Karnataka Institute of Leather Technology
(KILT) is committed to providing training in leather technology through courses
that have widespread recognition and reflect the latest in knowledge and
skills.
To this end, KILT has signed a MoU with
Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Chennai the scope of the
agreement covering the following areas:

Technical guidance from CLRI to
KILT in developing quality manpower
|

Periodic review of training
programmes and assistance in selection and evaluation of candidates
|
|
Training for KILT staff at CLRI
|
|
Accreditation of various
certificate and diploma courses offered by KILT
|
All programmes offered by KILT have been designed and developed
in close consultation with CLRI. Scientists from CLRI assess and offer advice
on courses on a periodic basis, in line with the MoU.
This agreement with CLRI is pivotal to refining the training
programmes and in elevating KILT’s Bangalore facility to a center of excellence
for the design, manufacture, research and development of leather goods.
Also, programmes offered by KILT have the recognition of the
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
