Karnataka Institute of Leather Technology (KILT) has the
required wherewithal to effectively train and impart crucial skills for
individuals who intend to take up a career in the leather industry.
Apart from adequate infrastructure for both theory and practical
instruction, the institute has well equipped laboratories and a well-stocked
library, housing varied national and international publications and technical
journals.
KILT, in tune with the times, has a design studio with
sufficient computer workstations - offering students extensive exposure to CAD
applications employing the latest software (LECTRA, SHOE MASTER, PROCAM etc).

KILT is also gearing up to augment both infrastructure and
facilities through the proposed Export Facilitation Centre for Leather
Technology project under the aegis of the Assistance to States for Developing
Export Infrastructure (ASIDE) scheme.
